HS WRESTLING: Seeds set for East Super Regionals

Feb. 28—Seeds are set for the PIAA East Super Regional wrestling tournaments.

Class 3A Northeast Regional champions Delaware Valley's Zach Jacaruso (113) and Jason Henderson (215) earned No. 2 seeds, the best among District 2 wrestlers.

Elsewhere in Class 3A, Abington Heights' Luke Sirianni (106), West Scranton's Austin Fashouer (120) and Cam Butka (285) and Hazleton Area's Seth Hunsinger (215), all regional silver medalists, secured No. 4 seeds.

Hazleton Area's Bryce Molinaro (189) claimed a No. 6 seed, while West Scranton's Tyson Cook (106), Wallenpaupack's Gunnar Myers (120), Hazleton Area's Beck Hutchison (126), Abington Heights' Austin Smtih (132), Crestwood's Trey Zabroski (138), Delaware Valley's Preston Machado (145) and Pittston Area's CJ Demark (152) and Jimmy Spindler (160) earned No. 8 seeds.

In Class 2A, regional silver medalists Wyoming Area's Jaden Pepe (113) and Lackawanna Trail's Robbie Schneider (138) earned No. 4 seeds.

Wyoming Area's Cooper Price (152) and Scranton Prep's Max Shnipes (285) are No. 6 seeds.

The Class 3A tournament is scheduled for Saturday at Quakertown High School, while the 2A event is Saturday at Pottsville's Martz Hall.

The top four finishers in each weight class advance to the PIAA tournaments, which are scheduled for March 12 (Class 2A) and March 13 (Class 3A) at the Giant Center in Hershey.
