“Hubbard Middle School is extremely appreciative of the generous donations from Vexus,” the principal of Hubbard Middle School John Smiley said. “Having more than 60% of families considered low socioeconomic status, this donation helps supplement and provide for those Husky students with food or clothing needs. Thank you, Vexus, for supporting your hometown school district and keeping the needs of children in mind.”

The $1,000 donation of coats and hoodies is going to the Hubbard Middle School Care Closet and it’s only part of their $10,000 commitment to support schools throughout Vexus’s service area.

We live and work in this community and are dedicated to improving it for everyone.”

Vexus is now one of Tyler ISD’s Success Partners, meaning that they’re supporting Tyler ISD by doing things like sponsoring other Care Closets at Rice Elementary, Jack Elementary, Three Lakes Middle School and Legacy High School.

“The Tyler ISD Success Partnership holds a special place in our hearts as it directly contributes to the well-being of students in our community,” Miller said. “Initiatives like the Care Closet are not just about addressing immediate needs; they’re a testament to our ongoing commitment to ensuring the continued welfare of those we serve, especially as temperatures drop. At Vexus, we believe in the power of connectivity, not only through fiber-optic networks but also through the threads of compassion that bind us to the communities we proudly call home.”
