Hubbardston's Vietnam Memorial unveiled; it lists names of more than 200 locals who served

HUBBARDSTON - A new memorial to veterans of the Vietnam War was officially unveiled to the public during the town's Memorial Day observances.

The names of more than 200 men and women who served during the conflict are engraved on the monument, which stands on the Town Common in front of the Hubbardston Federated Church.

A seven-member citizens committee raised more than $40,000 through donations to pay for the memorial, which was designed to resemble the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
