Huber Heights City Schools said there will be no school Tuesday as the community mourns the loss of a staff member.
The district informed parents of the death of a staff member at Wright Brothers Elementary, according to a letter sent out to parents and released to News Center 7 by a district spokesperson.
“Staff members are asked to report to their respective buildings as the district staff grieves the loss of one of their own,” the letter reads.
Grief support will be provided to students and staff at Wright Brothers and the district Tuesday, as well as the remainder of the week, a district spokesperson said.
The district provided no comment on the circumstances of the staff member’s death.
News Center 7 has chosen not to identify the staff member, as it was not immediately known if family members had been properly notified by the investigating coroner’s office. Additionally, the circumstances of the staff member’s death were not immediately known.
The district also has a two-hour delay on Wednesday, Feb. 22 for K-12 students. There will be no preschool.
