Hudson Light & Power employees and police top 25 highest paid employee list: Here's a list

HUDSON The town of Hudson is an oddity among MetroWest communities when it comes to the highest-paid municipal employees.

In many communities, the majority of the highest-paid employees are typically members of the local police department. But of the top 25 highest-paid town employees in Hudson, roughly one-third are employees of the Hudson Light & Power Department.

The Daily News, through a public records request, obtained the salaries of all town and School Department employees in Hudson from 2022. Totals include base pay, bonuses and overtime.

Brian Choquette, general manager of Hudson Light & Power, a municipally owned electric company, earned a salary of $283,157.82. The next highest paid town employee was Police Lt. Michael Vroom at $192,643.51, which includes his base salary as well as overtime and details. Vroom was one of six Police Department employees who made the top 25 list.
