Hudson names five finalists for its superintendent position. Who's still in contention?

HUDSON A former Hudson High School principal and Marlborough High School's current principal are two of the five finalists to become Hudson's next superintendent of schools.

The finalists, who were voted on by a 16-member Screening Committee, were named Thursday night during a School Committee meeting. In alphabetical order, they are as follows:

  • Alexandra McNeil, assistant superintendent of Needham Public Schools

  • Jannell Pearson-Campbell, interim superintendent of Northhampton Public Schools

  • Brian Reagan, superintendent of Waltham Public Schools

  • Daniel Riley, principal of Marlborough High School

  • June Saba-Maguire, assistant superintendent of Brockton Public Schools

Reagan was Hudson High School's principal for seven years (2011-18), replacing longtime Principal John Stapelfeld. He left to take the position he currently holds.

The matter is now in the hands of Hudson's seven-member School Committee. School officials said dates for finalists' interviews will be shared with the public "as soon as possible."

The following Hudson residents served on the Screening Committee: Erica Ankstitus, Wendy Anderson, Lauren Antonelli, Richard DiPersio, Alex Hoyt, Catherine Kilcoyne, Molly MacKenzie, Zach Maule, Melissa McIntyre, Jason Medeiros, Chris Monsini, Kathy Provost, Nina Ryan, Kelly Sardella, Steve Sharek and Todd Wallingford.
