Huge Smoke Clouds Seen in Northern California as Mosquito Fire Spreads

Huge smoke plumes filled the sky above Northern California’s Placer County as the Mosquito fire continued to spread on Friday, September 9.

This footage was captured by Keith Ormerod, who said he recorded it from the Todd Valley area of Foresthill on Thursday afternoon.

On Wednesday, evacuation orders were issued to residents in Placer County, and were extended to residents in El Dorado County after the fire continued to spread on Thursday, local media said.
