Hugh Jackman Is Being Treated For Skin Cancer Again

In his continued effort to draw attention to the dangers of going out in the sun without sunscreen, Hugh Jackman has posted another picture of himself having been treated for basal cell skin cancer.

Jackman revealed his be-plastered nose on his Instagram page yesterday, with a stark warning.

“An example of what happens when you don’t wear sunscreen. Basal Cell. The mildest form of cancer but serious, nonetheless,” he said.

“PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN and get regular check-ups.”

This is the fifth time that Jackman has been treated for skin cancer since November 2013.

The 47-year-old star has had cancers removed from his nose four times and another on his shoulder.

His first discovery was while on the set of ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, when he found that a bloody spot on his nose would not heal, and was advised by a make-up artist to get it checked out.

He’d assumed that it was an injury from his prop wolverine claws he was wearing for the film.

“It’s always a bit of a shock just hearing the word ‘cancer,’” he told People magazine.

“Being an Australian, it’s a very common thing. I never wore sunscreen growing up so I was a prime candidate for it.”

He’s since launched a range of sunscreen for kids called Pure Sun Defense.
