Hulk Hogan Opens Beachside Clearwater Eatery Wednesday

CLEARWATER, FL — Hang out with Hulk Hogan as he officially opens his new eatery, Hogan's Hangout, in Clearwater at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

In keeping with coronavirus protocols, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is introducing his new beach hangout with a soft opening over the next few weeks during which he'll introduce new menu items.

Located at 499 Mandalay Ave. in Pelican Park Plaza, next to Hogan's Beach Shop, 483 Mandalay Ave., the new 6,500-square-foot two-story eatery features 29 large-screen TVs and a Hulk-worthy menu featuring not-your-usual casual dining menu, said general manager James Floyd.

Hulk's Hangout will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

"We're pretty proud of our menu. We've really gone all out to create choices you won't find anywhere else," said Floyd, describing the eatery as the "coolest destination on the beach."

Hulk's Hangout will roll out the first of its menu items this week, featuring some of Hogan's personal favorites including:

  • Buffalo Chicken Dip made with pulled chicken in a three-cheese buffalo sauce blend with warm tortilla chips

  • Chicken or Beef Nachos with a choice of grilled chicken or seasoned beef, queso, smoke corn, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, jalapenos, onions, sour cream, guacamole, cilantro lime sour cream drizzle and tortilla chips

  • Poke Tuna Nachos made with ahi tuna, won ton chips, avocado, green onions, mango salsa, jalapenos, sesame seeds, in-house picked onions, wasabi cream and eel sauce

  • Kung Pao Calamari with lightly breaded calamari, tossed banana peppers, red peppers, fried jalapenos, tossed in a sweet, spicy thai chili sauce.

  • Bruchetta topped with chopped tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, fresh basil and finished with a balsamic vinegar drizzle

  • Mussels steamed in lemon garlic butter sauce and served with toasted garlic bread

  • Coconut Shrimp, crispy fried shrimp with coconut and panko breading and zesty orange chili dipping sauce

  • House-Made Mozzarella Sticks with ranch and marinara dipping sauce

  • Fried Beer-Battered Pickle Chips with ranch dipping sauce

  • Crispy Cauliflower Bites, lightly fried with mild buffalo sauce drizzle, celery sticks and bleu cheese dressing

  • A Half Pound or Full Pound of Peel-and-Eat Shrimp with Old Bay Seasoning, cocktail sauce and melted butter

  • Tropical Tuna Tower with ahi tuna layered with cucumbers, mango, avocado, wasabi sauce, sriracha sauce and won ton crisps

  • Oysters Rockafello featuring a dozen oysters on the half shell baked and topped with cream house-made spinach dip, bacon bits, Parmesan cheese and bread crumb topper

  • A Dozen or Half Dozen Oysters on the Half Shell, steamed or baked

  • Jumpbo Shrimp Cocktail with chilled jump shrimp, house-made cocktail sauce and lemon wedges

  • Shrimp Ceviche with in the house-traditional style and served with chips or won tons.

In addition to food and drinks, Hulk Hogan fans can purchase Hogan's Hangout merchandise including Hulk's bobble head, T-shirts and Hogan's signature bicep mug.

A longtime Clearwater resident, the seemingly ageless retired wrestling, television personality and celebrity frontman is a familiar figure in the community, frequently seen hanging out at the beach, attending events or checking in at his beach and wrestling shop specializing in WWE belts, action figures, souvenirs, signed apparel and posters and other items.
