Hull man arrested, charged with molesting girl under age 10 in Madison County

A 50-year-old Hull man was arrested recently on charges he molested a young girl, according to the Madison County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect was charged with aggravated child molestation and child molestation on July 22. He is being held in jail without bond.

The alleged molestation of the girl, who is under the age of 10, occurred multiple times over a period of about two years beginning in 2018, according to Capt. Jimmy Patton.

The allegations were initially reported to Athens-Clarke police by the child's mother, but then transferred to Madison County after police determined the alleged conduct occurred in Hull, Patton said.

The suspect had access to the girl as he knew the victim's mother, Patton said.
