Human remains found in woods near Chesapeake Volkswagen dealership
Human remains were found in the woods near a Chesapeake car dealership on Thursday, a police spokesman confirmed.
The body, which was found around 4 p.m. Thursday, was so heavily decomposed that police are unsure if it belongs to a man, woman or child, said Chesapeake Police Department spokesman Leo Kosinski.
Kosinski said the body was discovered in the woods near Southern Volkswagen Greenbriar’s location at 1248 S. Military Highway.
The body has been sent to the medical examiner for evaluation.
The department is investigating, and no additional information has been released. No foul play is suspected, Kosinski said.
