Humane Society of Harford County hosts sixth-annual Pup Crawl

Jun. 1—The Humane Society of Harford County's sixth-annual Pup Crawl to raise funds and awareness for homeless animals returns on June 10 in historic downtown Bel Air.

"We're excited to bring the fun to downtown Bel Air and grateful for the support of the entire community, from our guests, to the locally owned and operated pubs, and all our sponsors," said Humane Society of Harford County Executive Director Bob Citrullo in a news release. "And while the tone of the event is lighthearted, the purpose of the Pup Crawl is significant. All proceeds help offset the cost of surgeries, medications, vaccinations, and supplies for the thousands of animals we shelter annually."

All of the participating establishments are within walking distance, including Alecraft Brewery, Das Bierhalle, Independent Brewing, Looney's Pub, MaGerk's Pub and the Main Street Tower.

Sign-in begins at 4:30 p.m. at Looney's Pub, then crawlers are free to fan out throughout the downtown area for the evening. Crawlers are invited back to Looney's Pub at 9 p.m. for a final reception to share one last drink together, toast sponsors and announce door prize winners, the release said.

All guests must be 21 years of age to participate, and pets must stay at home.

Tickets are $45 per person in advance and are available at HarfordShelter.org/PupCrawl.

Each ticket includes a drink at each pub, a chance to win a door prize if the crawler's credentials are stamped at every bar, and two participation gifts. If tickets do not sell out in advance, the price at the door is $55.

Designated drivers and those who prefer unlimited water and soft drinks may purchase a Tag-Along ticket for $10 per person.
