The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is hosting ‘Chippin’ at the Fire House’ Thursday at the Englewood Fire station, a spokesperson said.

The event will start at 1 p.m. at the 1000 block of Union Boulevard.

The Humane Society is offering free microchips for the first 60 pets that arrive at the event. After that, it will be $15 per pet.

“Microchipping is a crucial step in safeguarding our furry companions,” the spokesperson said. “It ensures that lost or missing pets can be swiftly reunited with their owners, bringing peace of mind to pet parents everywhere.”

The event is open to the public.
