Humpbacks Swim Off After Treating Whale Watchers to Triple Breach Off Maui
During a trip out of Lahaina, Hawaii, last month, a lucky group of whale watchers were treated to a spectacular display as three humpbacks breached within moments of each other.
Scott Nix, who lives in Hawaii, was one the lucky ones on board the Ultimate Whale Watch boat. He told Storyful that it was an “amazing event to watch, and even more special because it happened on my birthday.”
Toni Colombo, of Ultimate Whale Watch, the company that was running the trip, described the spectacle as a “once in a lifetime sight”.
