Hundreds Rally in Prague Against Russian Missiles Strikes on Ukraine

Hundreds gathered in the Czech capital Prague on Monday, October 10, to protest deadly Russian missile strikes on multiple major Ukrainian cities earlier in the day.

Monday’s strikes killed at least 14 people and injured 97 others across Ukraine, the country’s State Emergency Service said.

In an address on Monday night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said 43 of 84 Russian missiles fired at Ukraine had been shot down, and 13 of 24 Russian drones also used in the coordinated attacks had been shot down. Zelensky said restoration work was underway across the country to repair what had been destroyed, and said Ukraine could not be intimidated.

Czech media reported demonstrators called for stronger Western support for Ukraine, including bolstering the country’s air defense capabilities. Credit: Suspilne News via Storyful
