Hundreds turn out to raise money for charity during the 10th Cupid’s Undie Run

Over 300 people took to the streets of Pittsburgh in their underwear this afternoon to raise money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation.

Saturday marked the 10th year of Cupid’s Undie Run. The race started at McFadden’s on North Shore Drive in Pittsburgh.

The event raises money for neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.

The group is trying to raise $115,000 to fund research to help find a cure.

“It’s a lot of fun and it’s great to see the community come together, whether you have a direct connection with NF or if you’re just here because someone recruited you, you get to learn about what NF is and what we’re doing to find a cure,” said Nikki Boros, with Children’s Tumor Foundation.

Every trial for a cure costs one million dollars so the group is trying to raise money to kickstart the next one.
