Hungry for OU football? Here are 9 new food and drink items you'll find at OU home games
When fans enter the gates of Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium this weekend to watch the University of Oklahoma Sooners take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves, they'll be greeted by many familiar sights, sounds, smells and tastes.
However, thanks to the folks at Levy Restaurants and their partners who operate at the stadium, there will also be a notable collection of new concessions to choose from.
"We want to tell the food story of Oklahoma," said Cody Malone, Director of Operations for Levy Restaurants at OU. "We want the stadium to kind of have the same look and feel of Norman, or of Oklahoma. You don't want every stand to be hot dogs, you don't want every stand to be nachos. You want people to come in and it represent our community."
Malone said Levy does that with the help of brand partners that include familiar names, including Taco Mayo, Boomerang Diner, RibCrib, Cupbop and more, many of which have created new items for the upcoming season.

"We want to make sure things are fresh — you're not getting the same thing all six games, the same thing year after year — so we work hard in the off season to work with our partners and work with our chefs to make sure that we have something new and exciting," Malone said.
Here are nine new items to look for at OU home games this season.
1. Fried ribeye sandwich from Levy Restaurants
Hand cut and breaded ribeye at a college football game? You bet, with the fried ribeye sandwich from Levy, which will be available at all home games this season.
"We cut the ribeye down and then bread it and fry it, put it on a jalapeno cheddar bun with a red eye gravy and some onion rings," said Kris Spriestersbach, executive chef for Levy Restaurants at OU.
2. Bacon ranch diner double from Boomerang Diner
The bacon ranch diner double is a spin on the classic diner double that Boomerang has already been serving up at OU home games. Available at each game, the burger features two patties with cheese, bacon, and Boomerang ranch.
The sandwich will be available at all home games in limited quantities.
3. Nachos from Cupbop
Cupbop began serving up their Korean barbecue noodle bowls last season at OU home games and this year they look to expand their offerings with a special concession offering you won't find in their stores — Cupbop nachos.
Wonton wrappers are fried into crispy chips and topped with beef and the chains signature sauces and will be sold at all home games this season. The group is already considering expanding the offering to include more options.
"We're thinking of doing it with our barbecue chicken and our barbecue pork," said Bookie Long, of Cupbop.

4. Boomer brisket sandwich from Levy Restaurants
Oklahomans don't shy away from their love for barbecue and Levy looks to tap into that with the first of two rotating specials it will offer up at home games all season long.
"We smoke our own brisket, we chop it up, mix it with a barbecue sauce, serve it on a pretzel bun, topped with french-fried onions and secret sauce," Spriestersbach said.
5. Okie hoagie from RibCrib
RibCrib continues to embrace the Okie love for barbecue and tops it with queso in their newest gameday offering.
The Okie hoagie features pulled pork topped with queso and pico de gallo and will be available at every home game this season, according to Mike Jorgenson with RibCrib.
6. Fried pies from Boomerang Diner
Craving something sweet at the stadium? Boomerang is bringing their signature handmade fried pies to home games.
Stephen DeGraffenreid with Boomerang Diner said the company will offer up either its cherry, apple or campfire (Nutella and marshmallow) fried pies at every game, but only in limited quantities.
7. Stormchaser dog from Levy Restaurants
Taking a corndog up a notch might seem like a crazy concept to you, but the folks at Levy decided to give it a whirl with their Stormchaser dog, the second rotating special for the season.
"It's a footlong corndog and we dip it in a white queso, and then we top it with kettle chips, bacon crumbles, green onion and then hit it with a little bit of jalapeno crema," Spriestersbach said.
8. Sooners Schooner Ale from COOP Ale Works
This "All-American Ale" was created in partnership between COOP and Levy to bring an easy drinking beer to Sooner fans. Now "the official beer of Oklahoma Athletics," is set to make its stadium debut at Saturday's home opener.
"We want something light, something low in ABV, low in IBU — so not too hoppy — we want something that somebody can drink one or two beers responsibly and then not feel that they are already full," Malone said. "We want to make sure they have a good game day experience."
9. Honey sriracha chicken dip from Levy Restaurants (club levels only)
Available exclusively for guests in the club levels, Levy Restaurants has created its honey sriracha chicken dip, a cheesy dip with a bit of sweet heat.
