Hunt County Churches prepare for Christmas Eve worship services
Dec. 18—There are many ways people can reflect on "the reason for the season" this time of year but one of the most common ways — and a cherished tradition — is attending Christmas Eve services and mass.
Below is a list of area churches in Hunt County that are holding special Christmas observances this Sunday.
Please note that the churches included in the list either contacted the Herald-Banner about publishing information regarding their Christmas Eve services or are churches that had online posts that the Herald-Banner saw.

Greenville
—New Beginnings Church: Candlelight Service at 6 p.m.
—Mineral Heights Baptist Church: Christmas Eve Service at 6 p.m.
—Redeemer Lutheran Church: Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m.
—St. Paul's Episcopal Church: Christmas Service at 7 p.m., Carol Singing at 10:30 p.m. and Midnight Mass at 11 p.m.
—Wesley United Methodist Church: Candlelight Services at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
—First Baptist Church: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 10:45 a.m.
—Harvest Bible Church: Candlelight Service at 4 p.m.
—St. William Catholic Church: English-Language Masses at 5 p.m. and Midnight, with Spanish-Language Mass at 7 p.m.
Celeste
—Shepherds Hill Lane Church: Candlelight Service at 6 p.m.
—High Trails Church: Candlelight Service at 6 p.m.
Commerce
—St. Joseph Catholic Church: Christmas Vigil Mass at 5:30 p.m.
Quinlan
—Duck Cove Marina: Candlelight Service and Cantata at 6 p.m.
Lone Oak
—Fellowship Baptist Church: Christmas Eve Celebration at 6 p.m.
While it's not a service, Clark Street Christian Church in Greenville will have its free "Feed the Hungry" meal on Christmas Eve from 10:30 a.m. "until the food is gone."
