Hunter Schafer Tells All About Her Close Relationship with Zendaya
In a new interview, Euphoria star Hunter Schafer spoke about what it was like to make the hit HBO show with her cast and crew.
Schafer mentioned her "close" working relationship with costar Zendaya, adding that the process was "very intimate."
She also talked about what she'd like to see happen next for her character, Jules.
We all know by now that Euphoria costars Zendaya and Jacob Elordi have become inseparable, but that's not the only close bond that was forged on set. In a new interview with V Magazine, Hunter Schafer spoke about what it was like creating the hit HBO show with her fellow castmates.
When asked who her closest artistic collaborator was during the making of the show, Schafer responded, "I don’t know if I’ve ever worked closer with anyone than Zendaya on Euphoria. It was such an extensive process, and a very intimate one."
She also gave kudos to the show's creator, saying, "And also Sam Levinson, [the creator], who helped me get to those places I hadn’t been since I was a teenager."
Of the character she plays on Euphoria, Jules, Schafer said, "I know she has dreams, [many of] which she stated in the first episode. Which is just what I did in a way: escaping to New York, and working or interning in fashion...And that was [part of the character] before I was even cast, so it was really freaky to see that written into the script. So, I feel like that’s definitely her path."
