Hunterdon to name new counsel, deputy administrator

FLEMINGTON – With Brad Myhre being named the new county administrator, the Hunterdon County Commissioners are expected to make more changes at the top in the county administration.

Shana Taylor, the current county counsel, is expected to be named deputy county administrator, the post formerly held by Myhre. Katrina Campbell is then expected to step into the role of county counsel.

Both appointments are expected to be made at the commissioners' next meeting on July 5.

Taylor, a Kingwood resident, has served as county counsel for more than a decade, providing legal guidance to all county departments. She previously served as the county’s human services and mental health administrator.

She earned her law degree from the University of Dayton Law School and a bachelor of science in nursing from Thomas Jefferson University.

Campbell, a Bethlehem Township resident, is a partner in the law firm of Lavery, Selvaggi, Abromitis & Cohen. She has served as township attorney for Tewksbury, Kingwood, West Amwell and Franklin in Hunterdon County, as well as municipal attorney in Sussex, Warren, and Morris County towns.

She is a past president of the Warren County Bar Association and a past member of the Vicinage XIII Ethics Committee. Her law practice concentrates on municipal government, real estate, farmland and open space preservation and land use.Campbell received her law degree from Seton Hall University Law School and a bachelor of science in sociology from James Madison University.

“The people of the county and the board will benefit from having exceptional, experienced and knowledgeable talent in Ms. Taylor and Ms. Campbell, both of whom can move seamlessly into their respective new positions at the executive level should their appointments be approved,” said county Board of Commissioners Director John Lanza.
