🌱 Huntington Daily: The Suds Boss Auto Detailing + EN Man Found

Welcome back, Huntington! Let's get you started this Thursday with everything you need to know going on in town today.

First, today's weather:

Variable clouds; breezy, mild. High: 55 low: 53.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Huntington:

  1. The Suds Boss of Huntington offers vehicle detailing throughout Long Island. New York winters are cold, long, and dirty on your car. The Suds Boss brings vehicle detailing to you and services all of Long Island. Thomas Pinto, 27, was originally a real estate agent and bus driver before the pandemic. When COVID-19 hit, his bus company shut down and he realized he didn't like real estate as much as he thought. Pinto went all on his former side gig auto detailing and launched the Suds Boss in 2020. "I build very good relationships," Pinto said. "It's not just getting dropped off to a car wash with 10 to 15 different guys. It's just me and a couple of guys, so I make it very personal. It's the experience of being mobile." (Huntington Patch)

  2. UPDATE: Man found unharmed. Police ask for help in search for missing East Northport man. Williams Contreras, 33, was last seen leaving the home of a family member on Feb. 11. He was reported missing by a family member nearly 24 hours later. He drives a 2008 BMW SUV with a license plate reading KES6264. Contreras is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 140 lbs. Detectives are asking anyone with information on Contreras’ whereabouts to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252. (Patch)

  3. Northport wrestler named school's first ever "Most Outstanding Wrestler." Sophomore Matthew Marlow was named Section XI's "Most Outstanding Wrestler" for the D1 tournament held on Feb. 13. He won the 118-pound champion title in the tournament which earned him the accomplishment. The award is no small feat, as each varsity wrestling coach from the tournament places a vote. Matthew has a parent as one of his coaches, his father Andrew Marlow. "For the other coaches to bestow an honor like that on Matthew was beyond my expectation and is a special honor for our program at Northport," Andrew Marlo stated. "It validates what we strive for: winning the right way." (Huntington Patch)
