Hurricane Dorian intensifies on track to Florida

After pounding island after island with torrential rain and strong wind, Hurricane Dorian on Thursday set its sights on Florida.

Now, on track to intensify into a major category 3, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center.

Dorian left the Caribbean relatively unscathed with little damage reported - sparing the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico from its full wrath.

But as it churns toward Florida, expected to pack more than 111 mile per hour winds and make landfall on Labor Day, the states governor is urging people to prepare.

"These, I have to say, they really save you."

Also in Dorian's path are the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos islands, which officials say could be hard hit Friday.
