Hurricane Ian supplies: Popular West Palm Mexican restaurant offers Margarita, tequila delivery
How are local restaurants responding to Hurricane Ian's forecast? For the most part, it's "business as usual" on Palm Beach County's dining scene.
But there are a few storm-related happenings to report.
Grato’s frosty hurricane cocktail
If you were in the West Palm Beach area on the eve of Hurricane Irma in September 2017, you may remember that frosty dream of a hurricane cocktail at Grato restaurant.
Here’s bright news amid our current storm warning: the Flamingo Park restaurant is bringing back that Hurricane cocktail tonight (Tuesday) and Wednesday night as a limited-time special.
The coral-colored frozen drink is Grato’s take on the famous New Orleans cocktail, but it’s infinitely more sunny than the original.

Sips for the storm: El Camino offers Margarita liters, tequila delivery
The folks at the new El Camino Mexican restaurant in downtown West Palm Beach say their recently launched delivery service is ideal for lifting spirits during stormy weather such as ours this week.
El Camino fans can now order the restaurant’s classic Margaritas and proprietary coffee tequila by the liter, thanks to a new partnership with Delivery Dudes.
A 1-liter bottle of El Camino’s classic Margarita is $45 and serves nine. A 1-liter bottle of the house’s coffee tequila, which is flavored with cinnamon and vanilla, is $65 and serves 16. (All adult-drink orders must be accompanied by a food order.)
“So you can pour when it rains from the comfort of your own home,” says a rep for the Delray Beach-born restaurant.

Of course, fans also can purchase the liters onsite at the restaurant’s new location at The Square plaza in West Palm Beach. All locations of El Camino plan to stay open during this week’s weather events, happy hour deals and all.

Palm Beach Gardens tequila-tasting event postponed
Due to this week’s stormy weather, Cactus Grille and Tequila Bar in northern Palm Beach Gardens has postponed a tequila-tasting event that had been scheduled for Wednesday. The Código Tequila tasting event is now scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 7 to 9 p.m.
If you purchased tickets for the tasting, you can use them next Wednesday, says a restaurant rep. Those who bought tickets but can’t attend next week’s event can request a refund by emailing info@thecactusgrille.com.
Tickets for the tasting event are $45 and include a welcome cocktail, three Código Tequila tastings with bites to pair and a chance to make your own craft cocktail with Cactus Grille’s barrel-aged Código 1530 Añejo Tequila, which will be available to participants at a discount during the event.
