Sunshine Ace Hardware
Sunshine Ace Hardware stores in Southwest Florida are open until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 27, except for Charlotte County stores, which closed at 5 p.m. The stores are closed Wednesday morning, and winds will be assessed after noon, with stores moving toward opening after winds slow below tropical storm force.
All Publix stores along the west coast of Florida from Key West up to Weeki Wachee, including all stores in Collier, Lee, Hendry and Charlotte counties, will close at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, and reopen at normal business hours Thursday, Sept. 29.
Winn-Dixie stores in Naples, Marco Island and Immokalee will close at 6 p.m. today and will remain closed Wednesday. They will reopen for normal business hours Thursday, Sept. 29.
NCH Healthcare Systems:
As a result of the impending storm, the NCH Healthcare System has announced these actions:
Elective procedures scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the NCH Healthcare System have been postponed. Affected patients have been notified and will be rescheduled for a later date.
Visitation at both NCH Baker Downtown Hospital and NCH North Naples Hospital will end at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 27. Only parents of pediatric patients and critical care patients have the option of staying overnight (both parents for pediatrics, one visitor for critical care). Those visitors should bring provisions for themselves to ride out the storm.
Collier County public schools:
Closed through Friday, Sept. 30,except for a limited number of essential staff who are working to assess facilities and prepare schools for reopening.
Collier County Waste Collection:
Garbage and recycling collection services will resume Friday, Sept. 30, in unincorporated Collier County, the City of Marco Island and the City of Everglades. The Collier County Landfill, the Immokalee Transfer Station and the Recycling Drop-off Centers will open on Friday, September 30.
Florida state government:
In line with county ordered closures, state facilities in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
Naples Senior Center:
5025 Castello Drive, will be closed through Wednesday, Sept. 28..
Collier Area Transit:
Collier Area Transit (CAT) will resume regular service on Friday, Sept. 30. Fares are suspended until further notice.

Harry Chapin Food Bank:
The Harry Chapin Food Bank is cancelling the distribution scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Boys and Girls Club, 1155 Roberts Ave. W., Immokalee.
“The safety of our drivers, volunteers, employees and those whom we serve, is our priority in the decision-making process,” said Richard LeBer, president and CEO of the food bank, in a news release making the announcement.. “The amount of coordination and logistics needed to hold our mobile pantry distributions requires that we make predictions early on regarding our ability to safely conduct them.”

Tourist Development Council:
Collier County's tourism bureau canceled Wednesday's annual Star Awards industry recognition event. "With the storm, there is just too much going on," said Paul Beirnes, the county's tourism director. He shared the news at a TDC meeting Monday. A new date for the event — described as the Academy Awards for the county's tourism industry — has yet to be chosen.
The opening of Naples Players' "Blithe Spirit" at Sugden Theatre has been postponed until Thursday, Sept. 29. Those with tickets for Wednesday can contact the box office for rebooking. naplesplayers.org
Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce:
Offices of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, 2150 Goodlette Road N., first floor, will remain closed until Thursday. napleschamber.org
Collier County Sheriff's Office:
Open house and recruitment fair originally set for Wednesday is canceled. The Communications Center Open House is now from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the fourth floor of the county building, 8075 Lely Cultural Parkway, Naples. The Holocaust Museum & Janet G. and Harvey D.
