There’s a thought surrounding Thad Franklin, the star Chaminade-Madonna senior running back and Miami Hurricanes commitment, that seeing UM junior back Cam’Ron Harris head to the NFL after the season would be a key in him ultimately signing with the Hurricanes.
According to Franklin, the 217-pound four-star recruit’s decision is not nearly as contingent on what Harris does as some may assume.
“It’s up to him,” Franklin said on Friday night after his Lions' 27-14 win over Hialeah Champagnat Catholic. “I’m going to Miami either way.”
Should Harris remain with Miami beyond the 2020 season, it would create more of a crowded backfield once Franklin arrives with freshmen Jaylan Knighton and Donald Chaney Jr. already working in with Harris.
