An Alabama husband has been found guilty of manslaughter in the death of his wife, an exhibitionist and adult entertainer, who was discovered bludgeoned to death outside their home in 2018.

William Jeffrey West, 47, was convicted Friday night in the January 2018 death of his wife, Kathleen Dawn West, who also went by “Kitty Kat West” on an adult subscription-only website,” according to WBRC.

A teen neighbor discovered her body outside her Calera home around 5 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2018. She was mostly nude, wearing only a sports bra at the time.

A Shelby County Grand Jury indicted West in the slaying a month later, accusing him of intentionally killing his wife by hitting her with an empty bottle of Lucid Absinthe. Prosecutors argued he’d grown enraged over his wife’s drinking habits as well as her use of social media to promote her online adult business.

West, who was initially charged with murder in the case, on the other hand has maintained his wife hit her head during a drunken fall.

After five hours of deliberation on Friday, jurors returned with a guilty verdict in the case, prompting the judge to revoke his $500,000 bail. He will remain behind bars until he is sentenced in January 2021.

West is facing between two and 20 years in prison.
