Huston-Tillotson choir to perform at Carnegie Hall in April

A group of college students with Huston-Tillotson University Concert Choir will have the experience of a lifetime next month when they perform at Carnegie Hall.

MidAmerica Productions, which puts on concerts at Carnegie and other elite venues, invited the choir to perform at the hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage on April 9 at 2 p.m. for their 40th annual concert season.

“Huston-Tillotson University Concert Choir received this invitation because of the high level and quality of musicianship demonstrated by the singers,” Peter Tiboris, general director and music director of MidAmerica Productions and MidAm International, said in a statement.
