Belift Lab, a subsidiary label of South Korean entertainment company HYBE, is launching an idol competition program to find members for a new girl group.

Scheduled to premiere on June 30, "R U Next?" will consist of 10 episodes and will air every Friday on South Korean TV channel JTBC.

While a lineup of contestants has not yet been revealed, the aspiring artists participating in "R U Next?" have all received training at Belift Lab.

The competition will consist of a total of seven rounds [to evaluate contestants based on their] potential, expressiveness, ability to ace various genres, professionalism, individuality, creativity, and star quality,” according to the production team, as per Soompi. “Although fierce competition is inevitable, we will focus on the stories and relationships between the trainees and deliver a healthy program.”

Belift Lab’s pending girl group will be the latest under the HYBE umbrella following LE SSERAFIM and NewJeans, who both debuted last year. Back in March, NewJeans’ affiliate label ADOR announced auditions for a boy group.
