Iberia Parish residents approve law enforcement sales tax
IBERIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) — A sales tax to be used to pay salaries and support expenses of law enforcement was approved with 58% of the vote.
Residents in Iberia Parish have approved a sales tax that would be used to support the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, including paying salaries and benefits of current law enforcement personnel.
These are the results for the Iberia Parish law enforcement sales tax in Saturday’s election:
Yes: 58% (3,406)
No: 42% (2,452)
