Orlando's Icon Park plans its first Oktoberfest

Icon Park, the International Drive entertainment complex, will launch its first Oktoberfest — featuring German beers, polkas and strudel — in mid-September.

The event will be held Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 16 through Oct. 2, which roughly lines up with the dates for the 2022 Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany.

On the attraction’s central lawn will be sales of beer flights with four seasonal brews with an option to buy a souvenir glass stein. Food menu items will include bratwurst, sauerkraut, chicken schnitzel, pretzels and apple strudel.

Performers will include Stammtischler providing authentic Bavarian and sporting the Bavarian button accordion, tenor horn, wooden spoons and the Alphorn.

Icon Park is home of attractions such as Museum of Illusions, Sea Life Orlando Aquarium, Madame Tussauds Orlando and The Wheel at Icon Park. It’s also the base for several restaurants and stores.

Oktoberfest admission and parking in the Icon Park garage is free. Oktoberfest operating hours will be 5-10 p.m. on Fridays and 2-10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
