In case you missed it, here's a story that appeared last week in the Patchogue Patch:

PATCHOGUE, NY — The popular holiday tradition in Patchogue will be canceled this year due to the coronavirus restrictions, but residents can still find some alternative festivities in the area.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director David Kennedy confirmed to Patch that the Patchogue River Christmas Holiday Parade of Boats, which has been a tradition in the village for the over two decades, will not be happening this year. The event had to be canceled due to current COVID-19 restrictions for non-essential events which limit the amount of guests to 50 people.

"As this wonderful annual Holiday spectacle usually attracts thousands, it is impossible for us to hold this event and comply," Kennedy said.
