Idaho man to face 2 felonies after weekend shooting in Kuna leaves 1 injured

A 56-year-old year Idaho man faces two felony charges after police alleged he shot and injured another man following a Saturday night argument, according to a Facebook post from the Kuna Police Department.

Randell Waller, 56, was charged with two felonies: aggravated battery and an enhancement for the use of a deadly weapon, according to online court records. Waller was arrested and taken to the Ada County Jail on Saturday, and has since bailed out on a $50,000 bond, records showed.

If convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison under Idaho law.

Officers from the Kuna Police Department, which contracts with the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a home within the 700 block of White Fang Street just before 9 p.m. Saturday after police alleged Waller and another man got into a fight at a party, according to the Facebook post. Waller allegedly shot the man during the confrontation, which occurred outside the house.

The victim was “visibly injured,” the post said. Officers performed first aid on him until paramedics arrived.

Waller had his initial court appearance earlier this week, and he’s scheduled to appear at the Ada County Courthouse for a preliminary hearing at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 3, online court records showed.
