The game will mark the 93rd meeting all time, with the Cougars holding a 72-17-3 advantage and riding a nine-game winning streak. There are 19 players on the Idaho roster who hail from Washington including Carter Carlson, a former walk-on edge defender at WSU. Jason Eck is the new Idaho coach, replacing Paul Petrino who was let go at the end of last season (Petrino is now the offensive coordinator at Central Michigan).
