Identity of body found on Youree Drive confirmed as missing elderly woman

Saturday afternoon, the Caddo Parish Coroner's office confirmed the body found in a drain on the Chevyland parking lot earlier in the day was in fact, Daisy Walker.

Walker, 75, was reported missing Dec. 3 after wandering away from her apartment.

Her family reported she suffered from advanced dementia.

At this time the Shreveport Police Department does not expect foul play.
