Every restaurant has its own vibe. When I want to eat endless pasta and gossip with my friends, I go to Olive Garden. When I want a quick coffee, I pop into a Starbucks. And when I want to eat a stack of pancakes the size of my head and sink into a cozy booth, you know I'm going to IHOP, baby. But the hallowed International House of Pancakes is launching a new chain of restaurants and it just might fit into a whole new category.

IHOP announced this week that it's opening a new chain called Flip'd, and it's not exactly what you'd expect. It's more of a smaller, fast-casual restaurant that will open in larger cities. From the photos, it looks a bit more like a Chipotle than your traditional IHOP.

You'll still be able to get some of your IHOP faves like Steakburgers and Crispy Chicken, but it will also be serving some brand-new fare like Pancake Bowls, which are pancakes served in a bowl and topped sweet with things like fruit or savory things like scrambled eggs, bacon pieces, and cheese. This means you can finally live out your dreams of eating pancakes on the go.

Other things you can expect? A BUILD-YOUR-OWN PANCAKE BAR, breakfast burritos, wraps, salads, and more.

The first Flip'd location will open in Atlanta next April and sites in New York City, Washington D.C., Denver, and San Francisco are currently being considered for 2020. Now to start dreaming of what I'd put on my dream pancakes...
