Easter is coming early to IKEA, and yes-there will be Swedish meatballs galore! On Friday, April 5, the store is hosting its annual Easter Påskbord, a celebration complete with the best party element out there: an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Participating IKEA stores nationwide are offering tickets for $16.99 per person and just $4.99 for kids 12 years old and under. Also, IKEA FAMILY members are eligible for a discounted ticket price: $12.99 per person and $2.99 for kiddos.
The multi-course menu includes an array of classic Swedish food. The first course menu includes assorted varieties of herring, deviled eggs with shrimp or seaweed pearls, marinated salmon with mustard sauce, and poached salmon with cucumber dill sauce.
The second course will have items such as assorted Swedish cheeses, Swedish cucumber salad, Swedish red potato salad, bread, and rolls. The main event (third course) offerings include chicken meatballs, Swedish meatballs with Lingonberry Jam, mashed potatoes or boiled dilled potatoes, and Swedish ham. There will be desserts, of course-assorted Swedish treats and cookies. Also, fountain and hot beverages will be available.
IKEA notes that seating for the buffet is limited, so if you're interested in attending, be sure to purchase tickets at your local IKEA ASAP! You can use the store locator to find the most convenient location to you.
