Jaxon Smith-Njigba has spent the majority of his 2022 season on the sideline.

Through the first four games, the Ohio State junior receiver has missed two games and played 38 total snaps per Pro Football Focus. But Smith-Njigba tweeted out a message to Buckeyes fans Sunday night, telling them he would be back "sooner than later."

"Kills me that I haven't been out there yet," Smith-Njigba tweeted. "I know God has a bigger plan! I'll be back sooner than later. I know my brothers gonna keep handling business."

After Saturday night's 52-21 win against Wisconsin, Ohio State coach Ryan Day did not disclose whether Smith-Njigba re-aggravated an apparent hamstring injury he suffered during the Notre Dame game that kept him off the field against Arkansas State and limited the receiver to 23 snaps against Toledo per Pro Football Focus.
