Illinois Lottery player wins $600K on Lucky Day Lotto ticket from north suburban grocery store
NORTHBROOK, Ill. — An Illinois Lottery player went shopping recently at a north suburban grocery store and wound up snagging quite the item.
The player purchased a Lucky Day Lotto ticket from Mariano’s in Northbrook that yielded the $600,000 jackpot for Monday’s midday drawing. The player matched all five winning numbers of 16-23-34-36-40the Illinois Lottery says.

For selling the winning ticket, Mariano’s, 2323 Capital Drive in Northbrook, will receive a selling bonus of 1% of the prize amount, in this case $6,000.
According to the Illinois Lottery, over 1.8 million Lucky Day Lotto tickets have been sold this year, amounting to more than $9.9 million in winnings.
