Illinois man arrested in Williamsburg on sexual abuse charges

Feb. 13—WILLIAMSBURG — An Illinois man has been arrested by the Williamsburg Police Department for charges related to an incident that occurred in a public parking lot over the weekend.

Corey Bucar, 35, of Arlington Heights, Illinois, was arrested on Saturday for two counts of first-degree Sexual Abuse (one involving a victim under 12), Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of Marijuana.

According to the Williamsburg Police Department, Bucar was in a parking lot when he exposed himself and masterbated in front of a minor as well as one adult.

Following the incident, WPD launched an investigation on Friday and obtained arrest and search warrants which were executed at a motel in Williamsburg the following day. Upon the execution of the warrants, police say that they arrested Bucar and recovered two cellphones and suspected marijuana as evidence.

Bucar was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday afternoon in Whitley County District Court, where a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. A preliminary hearing has now been set for next Monday. He remained lodged at press time in the Whitley County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
