Illinois to offer free official paper road maps

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) wants to put a driving map back in your hands.

IDOT announced the release of a new Illinois Official Highway Map. The paper maps include route updates, detailed sections devoted to cities and a feature that shows mileage between cities. Free copies will be available at interstate rest areas.
