'I'm A Celebrity' first look: Ant and Dec teach Chris Moyles DIY basics in tonight's trial

Chris Moyles exposes his lack of life skills in tonight's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! trial, with Ant and Dec forced to explain the basics of using a spanner to him.

The radio DJ shows that a life as a celebrity does not necessarily include learning simple DIY tasks as he struggles to unscrew a nail using a spanner.

Moyles has been chosen for his second bushtucker trial in a row and on Wednesday, viewers will see him take on Boiling Point, which involves releasing stars from an enclosed space that includes a furnace using a range of DIY tools.

But in a first-look clip, Moyles, 48, appears to show he does not have the skills for the job as hosts Ant and Dec try to offer him some basic tips.

As he enters the trial room, Moyles pleads: "Please don't put anything on me yet," as he is showered with critters.

Dec tells him: "Just cockroaches so far," with Moyles sarcastically replying: "Cheers, thanks for that guys."

However, the insects aren't his only problem as he tries and fails to unscrew the first star from the wall.

Dec helpfully tells him: "Lefty Lucy, righty tighty."

But as Moyles continues to struggle, Ant slowly explains: "Chris, hold the star with one hand and move the spanner with the other hand."

Ant then says to a laughing Dec: "Clearly does not do any DIY round his own house."

Until a few days ago, controversial campmate and disgraced former health secretary Matt Hancock had been voted for to take on every trial, clocking up six in a row.

However, Moyles, Boy George and Babatunde Aléshé, who had all criticised him, were voted into yesterday's trial, winning just three stars out of 11, while Hancock assumed the role of camp leader.

Hancock continues to face criticism from campaigners and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak about appearing on the show.

On Tuesday, campaigners flew a banner over the I’m A Celebrity campsite, reading: “COVID bereaved say get out of here!”.

The plane bearing a 35ft banner circled the Australian camp for two hours on Tuesday and was organised by campaign group 38 Degrees which is working with COVID-19 Bereaved Families for Justice.

I'm A Celebrity airs the full trial tonight at 9pm on ITV.
