I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! is set to launch an all-stars spin-off series that will see some of the most popular previous contestants take on new challenges in South Africa.

The hit ITV celebrity contest will get a new format for the first time when the new series begins, welcoming back former campmates who made a big impression in the jungle or the castle for new twists on the trials.

Although an official announcement has not yet been made, the series is expected to air in 2023 from South Africa, with hosts Ant and Dec still fronting the show from the new location.

Campmates have not yet been confirmed either, but there are plenty to choose from with 21 series having aired to date.

The trials will still be a huge feature and the celebrities will live in a camp, but Yahoo understands that there will also be some fresh, exciting twists on the usual format - including campmates having a hand in their own destiny as they take part in internal votes and challenges.

However, fans of the show will be pleased to know that they won't have to wait until 2023 for more I'm A Celebrity as the main show is due back for its usual start date in November, and this time it will make a long-awaited return to Australia.

For the first 19 series, it was broadcast from a jungle camp in Australia, but travel restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic forced a new location in 2020 and 2021.

Ant and Dec hosted the last two series from Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales, which were won by Giovanna Fletcher and Danny Miller.

Last year's series was a far cry from the usual sunny setting of Oz, as for the first time ever I'm A Celeb was forced off air by the weather.

Storm Arwen ripped through camp with 90-mile-an-hour winds, leading to the celebrities having to abandon camp and the show's live broadcasts being cancelled until the set was made safe again.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! is due to begin series 22 in November on ITV.
