I'm A Celebrity star Owen Warner has revealed Britain's Got Talent auditions is his secret acting weapon – as they always make him cry.

During downtime in the camp, Hollyoaks star Warner, alongside Jill Scott and Seann Walsh shared their hidden talents.

While comedian Walsh showed off his bang-on Michael McIntyre impression, 23-year-old Warner left the group in fits with his attempt at impersonating Sir David Attenborough.

So in order to win himself back some kudos, he revealed his secrets to his emotional scenes as Romeo Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap.

“When I first got on set, I’d watch X Factor or Britain’s Got Talent auditions," he revealed. "The really good ones, where they get a golden buzzer or there’s an emotional story to it…”

"You’d watch that to cry?” a baffled Walsh responded. "I can’t believe that. That’s hilarious! Can you teach us to cry?"

While Lioness Scott admitted she struggled to cry in real life, she found herself trying out Warner's secret trick – and it worked.

"Pick a point, don’t blink… focus your eyes… really focus on your breathing," he told her. "Think about how your breathing goes when you cry."

Walsh was impressed as Scott started tearing up and told her: “You look like you’re crying!”

However, it failed to work on former Strictly contestant Walsh, who instead ended up feeling like he was trying to fall asleep.

Fans were endeared by the sweet moment from Warner, who has become a fan favourite for his hilarious questions and eagerness to learn from the other campmates.
