I'm a Celebrity... South Africa has bought back some of the show's most legendary contestants for its All-Stars series.

But what about the man who famously wrote pop hit 'Insania' in the jungle?

Appearing on Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden's Heart Breakfast show, Peter Andre explained why he didn't return to the ITV reality show for the new series.

"I loved it, but once you've done it... I went in twice so I have been in again when Fatima Whitbread was in it," Andre said (via MailOnline).

Andre first appeared on I'm A Celebrity in 2004, where he wrote 'Insania' and met future wife Katie Price. He then returned to the show in 2011 for a special visit to the camp, which included current contestant Fatima Whitbread.

Andre continued: "You experience things that are amazing, but I don't think I could go back."

When asked what he thought of the current series, Andre said: "I haven't seen it, but I think it's a great line-up. They've got some good people on there."

Andre has previously said that, while he has no interest in returning to the show, he would like to present one of its spin-offs.

"Those I would love to do and present, but no I wouldn't go back in the jungle," Andre told The Sun last year.

"I mean, how many times do you do the same thing? I wouldn't, but it is one of the best shows on TV. I think people would be like, 'Mate, get over it. You've been on it too many times'. I would like to present it though."

I'm a Celebrity… South Africa airs on Mondays-Fridays at 9pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
