This is surreal.

This is a moment that I’ve been waiting for since I got to high school. I remember since my freshman year, I always said I wanted to do the hats thing.

I just never imagined how hard it would choose one. It’s been hectic trying to make decision.

I’m down to Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M. (Don’t read into the order, it’s alphabetical.)

At Florida, I like their new head coach. I feel like he’s going to bring Florida back and I like how DB coach Corey Raymond is there and the new DC. I feel like their going to be very special. I feel like they can bring DBU back to Florida.

Georgia, I love the way their defense is. I love that coach Smart and coach Muschamp are two head coaches that work together and that’s kind of crazy. I feel like their defensive schemes are great and I can see myself fitting in.

I love LSU’s DB tradition. I always wanted to wear that No. 7 like Derek Stingley and Grant Delpit. Wearing No. 7 would mean that I’m carrying the legacy and I’m kind of the best defensive back in the county – and the leader.

Texas A&M, I like Jimbo Fisher. He gives off a family atmosphere. I’ve got family ties there because my uncle, Jerry Johnson, works there.

I think me, Travis Hunter and Sam McCall could bring DBU back to FSU. We could definitely bring that DB tradition back.

It’s been really stressful, and it’s been really hard trying to pick a school. It’s a blessing, but people don’t understand how stressful it is as well. All these schools are giving me an opportunity and I’ve built all these relationships with these coaches. But at the end of the day I have to what’s best for me and I can only pick one.

I want to thank God. I want to thank the coaches at IMG for developing me even more to the player I am today. I would like to thank my coach, Chris Dishman, for teaching me how to play the game. I want to thank my mom, dad, Roscoe Barber, my little league coaches and the whole community of Fort Pierce for supporting me and believing in me.

Honestly, I don’t even know where I’m going to go yet.

I’m going to do some praying and I’m going to weigh all the good things and bad things and see where I get. I’ve already done it two times. I’ll do it one more time and hopefully I’ll know when it’s time.

I don’t even know how it will feel when I pick up that hat. I know its going to be crazy. It will be a surreal moment.

Stay tuned.

My decision might shock the world.
