Impressive lightning storm caught by webcam over Casco Bay, Maine

Webcam footage captured an impressive lightning storm over Casco Bay, Maine, on Sunday, Nov. 21.

Local forecasts said lightning would be seen along the Maine coast on the night, with mountain snow turning to rain by Monday morning.

This footage, recorded by Wonder Pixels/ in Freeport, shows lightning flashes over Casco Bay. Casco Bay is an inlet of the Gulf of Maine on the southern coast of Maine.

WMTW Meteorologist Sarah Long reported Sunday night that was snow in the mountains and lightning at the coast. Mountain snow turned to rain overnight.

In the Seacoast region Monday's forecast is cloudy and turning breezy this afternoon. Accuweather warns that early holiday air travelers may face weather delays.
