A New Hanover County man currently serving time for a 1986 sex crimes conviction was charged this week with additional sex crimes believed to have occurred in the early 1980s.

According to a news release from the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office, deputies charged 68-year-old David Jordan with indecent liberties with a minor child. Following an investigation, law enforcement believes the crime occurred between 1980 and 1982 when Jordan was in his late 20s. The alleged victim was under 15 years old.

Jordan is currently serving a prison sentence for similar crimes around the same time, and law enforcement believe he may have had other victims.

Anyone with information about Jordan is asked to contact Detective Starnes with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office at 910-798-4287.
