For those who love to finish dinner and exclaim, “how easy is that?” or pop open a bottle of “good” vanilla to get your dessert recipe tasting just right, we have some good news for you: Ina Garten's original cookbook, The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. is being reprinted and sold exclusively at Costco.

While this isn’t a totally new cookbook, the reprint of her original The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook has hit Costco shelves with a special, exclusive, surprise inside.

Garten shared an Instagram story early Friday morning with a photo of the reprint and a link to the Costco page to buy the book. The cover appears to be changed from the original image of a bright veggie-packed side dish, to an image of a young Garten rinsing carrots in her sink. She wrote on the Instagram story, “Thank you Costco for reprinting The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook with four bonus recipes!”

Yes, that’s right. The reprint includes an orange circle on the cover that reads, “Exclusive Costco Edition–4 BONUS RECIPES.” You'll have to get your hands on a copy of the reprint to find out what the four recipe additions are. As if that’s not exciting enough, the book’s website description reveals fans will also get an exclusive letter from Garten that reveals how she writes her cookbooks.

But, to tide you over until you scoop up your own copy, we’ve been digging into her newest cookbook Modern Comfort Food: A Barefoot Contessa Cookbook (which was released in October 2020) while sipping on her favorite summer sangria recipe she shared with Instagram followers this summer.

The original Barefoot Contessa was first published in 1999, based on Garten’s specialty food store in the Hamptons with the same name. The original (and reprint) includes a forward by lifestyle expert and home chef Martha Stewart praising Garten.
