Inclement weather postpones Spartanburg and Cherokee county athletics

All Spartanburg County and Cherokee County schools are postponing athletic events originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday after the announcement that schools will have another eLearning day due to inclement weather and possible hazardous driving conditions.

Practices scheduled to take place on both days have all been canceled and games have been postponed throughout the counties. View the list below to see which athletic events have been affected.

Basketball:

  • Chapman High School @ Union County High School – 1/18 postponed

  • Woodruff High School @ Broome High School – 1/18 postponed

  • Riverside High School (Greer) @ Dorman High School – 1/18 postponed

  • Landrum High School @ Brashier Middle College (Simpsonville) – 1/18 postponed

  • Spartanburg High School @ Wade Hampton High School (Greenville) – 1/18 postponed

  • Chesnee High School @ St. Joseph’s Catholic (Greenville) – 1/18 postponed

  • Nation Ford High School (Fort Mill) @ Gaffney High School – 1/18 postponed

  • Mauldin High School (Mauldin) @ Byrnes High School – 1/18 postponed

  • Wade Hampton High School (Greenville) @ Byrnes High School – 1/19 postponed

Wrestling:

  • Broome High School wrestling meet vs. Chapman High School, Emerald High School (Greenwood) & Union County High School – 1/18 postponed

  • Spartanburg High School @ Byrnes High School – 1/18 postponed

  • Wade Hampton High School (Greenville) @ Dorman High School – 1/19, rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 1
