When told she had cancer, just days after her husband’s sudden death, this 90-year-old woman decided to throw caution to the wind and go on one epic, final, road trip.

She gave chemotherapy, radiation and surgery a miss and instead told her doctors she was hitting the road.

Now you’ll find her travelling in a motor home and seeing as much of the US as she can with her son Tim, his wife Ramie and their poodle Ringo for company.

The foursome have been on the road for six months now, and seen a huge amount of the States already. So far, they’ve visited Florida, Mississippi, South Dakota, Louisiana, New Mexico, Arizona and more - documenting every step on the Facebook page, Driving Miss Norma.

The social media account has almost 100,000 followers, so clearly plenty of people love following Norma and her cross-country trip.

The family has posted pics of Norma in a hot air balloon, driving a boat, making new friends and soaking up the sun as she relaxes on the various stop-offs.

And despite the constant travel and adventure, Norma’s health seems to be improving. “She continues to surprise us on this trip,” Ramie told ABC News. “She’s getting healthier, I think, from eating well and being outside a lot. She’s breathing fresh air and getting to see new things all the time.”
